今天的Baby Blues漫畫，嚴格說並不能中譯得完全傳神，皆因當中的shape在兩次出現時的意思並不相同。
先說我們較熟悉的意思：名詞shape可解作形狀、樣子，例如round shape是圓形，spherical shape是圓球狀，triangular shape是三角形，body shape是身體的形狀、體形等。這是漫畫中第二個shape的意思；換言之，potato-shaped解作薯仔形狀的、形狀像馬鈴薯的。又例如leaf-shaped是葉片狀的，oval-shaped是橢圓形的，beautifully shaped是形狀美麗的。
另一個意思相同的說法是in the shape of，例如in the shape of a potato是薯仔狀的，in the shape of a sphere則指形狀如圓球的。
另一方面，shape尚可解作狀態、情況，例如in good shape是狀態良好，也可說in great shape或in fine shape；而狀態欠佳則可說in bad shape或in poor shape。漫畫中第一個shape便是這個意思，而形容詞tip-top解作極好的、一流的、頂尖的，因此in tip-top shape便是指狀態巔峰。
